Alamo -- Ora Elmore, 79, of Alamo, died at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient since Friday. He was born March 2, 1891, a son of Jacob and Maria Brunner Elmore. He was married Jan 20, 1916 to Fannie Irons of Alamo. He was a member of the Alamo Christian Church, Alamo OES No. 498 and was a 50-year-member and past master of Alamo Lodge No. 144 F & AM. Mr. Elmore was employed by the state and county highway departments, Mid-States and Summers Metal Craft. He was graduated from Alamo HS in 1911. Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Jean Elmore of Indianapolis; two brothers, Leslie of near Alamo and Roy of Wallace, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant child, a grandson, two brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Servies-Funeral Home at Waynetown, with Rev. John R. Servies officiating, assisted by Rev. Hugh Dooley. Burial will be in Crawfordsville Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. - kbz
